The changing landscape of university campuses and the role of universities as urban land developers raise pertinent questions for the future development of urban and suburban regions. We were required to do our own background research and select a university campus as the primary point of the urban intervention. This project intends to improve the quality of Richmond's neighbourhood and promote its agricultural identity through the extension of WSU Hawkesbury campus.

How can we extend the existing campus to build a vibrant neighbourhood that will improve the relationship between the university and the community?
BACKGROUND RESEARCH
Design concept
The planning aims to produce an interconnecting neighborhood where all services connect to one another. While promoting sustainable transportation, new bus routes are also introduced to improve accessibility throughout the area.
